College Visits
College Visit Policy: Classes missed because of a college visit will NOT count against a student’s attendance provided that:
The form must be turned in to the HHS Counseling Office on the first day back to school from the college visit.
- Both student and parent complete and sign the College Visit form.
- Representative from the college visit signs the College Visit form.
- After your visit, please return the form to Mrs. Sides and/or the HHS Counseling Department.
- HHS Principal/HHS Assistant Principal will approve or deny based on attendance history, etc.
- If denied, parent and student will be notified. Absence will be verified, but count towards your attendance percentage.
- If approved, the college visit will not count towards your attendance percentage.
- Paperwork will be placed into your file for documentation.
- Seniors are allowed 3 college visits.
- College visits made by underclassmen count as a verified absence.
- You must make homework arrangements with your teachers prior to your absence.
